Culucitani

Sidi bou Mérouane (Barrington) · Bu Maiza o. Ain Mokra (Miller)

Culucitani was a stop in Numidia, in what is now Algeria, on the road from Rusicade towards Hippo Regius, sixteen Roman miles beyond Paratianis and only seven short of Zaca. The site is probably Sidi bou Mérouane, and it was lived in from Hellenistic through Roman into late antique times. The Roman register of routes lists it as Culucitanis, and the Ravenna list shortens it to Culucia.
