Tacatua
Herbillon am Kap Takusch (Miller) · Takouch (Barrington)
Tacatua was a coastal town of Numidia, close to the border with Mauretania Caesariensis, and its name still lives on in Cape Takouch in eastern Algeria; the town lay in a bay beside that headland. The Roman writer Pliny names it together with Hippo Regius among the towns of this shore, and the geographer Ptolemy knew it as Takatye. Two roads left it: one ran along the coast to Hippo Regius, the other inland by way of Zaca.
