Tagulis

Gasr el-Haddadia

Tagulis, Ptolemy's Thagoulis, was a town on the Great Syrtis and is placed at Gasr el-Haddadia in Libya. On the map two roads reach it, one along the coast through Turris et Taberna, six Roman miles away, and a southern one through Digdida, though both probably stand for much the same route. From here thirty miles lead on to the Altars of the Philaeni. The Roman register of routes writes Tugulus, the Ravenna list Tragulis.
