Paratianis
Mechta el Hadjar (Barrington) · Jemmappes o. Foy (Miller)
Paratianis was a town in Numidia on the main road between two important harbours, Rusicade and Hippo Regius, now Skikda and Annaba in Algeria. The map places it twenty-five Roman miles from Rusicade and sixteen from Culucitani; the Roman register of routes knows it by the same name, while the Ravenna list shortens it to Paratia. Its site is placed at Mechta el Hadjar, though older research looked for it at Jemmapes.
