Crunis

Ada Burnu

Crunis was probably a station and harbour at Cape Kraunoi on the coast road of Rough Cilicia, a road known from milestones and remains that once ran from Pamphylia to Syria. The cape, Ada Burnu, was once called Beşparmak, the five fingers, and forms the longest of them. One suggestion derives the name from a Greek word for a spring. No remains of a settlement have been found so far. On the map the name is pushed up and away from the coast, because the road runs close beside a river there and space was short.
