Road station
Cloptasa
? Demirci köy? oder Eren Boğazı?)
Cloptasa is a garbled Kyptasia, the name the geographer Ptolemy gives; the mistake already stood in the late Roman source that the map shares with the Ravenna list. The station lay on the coast of Paphlagonia, south of Sinope. It is usually placed at Eren Boğazı, or else at Demirci, where excavations have uncovered a workshop, busy mainly in Roman times, that made amphorae, the clay jars used to ship goods. On the map no distance is given on to Orgibate.
