Road station
Clodiana
Gegend von Peqin · Pekinje, bei Mafmutaga?
Clodiana was a station on the Via Egnatia, the great Roman road from the Adriatic across the Balkans, near Peqin in Albania, where the branch coming from Apollonia joined the road from Dyrrachium; Roman pottery of the first to third centuries has been found there. The name may recall Appius Claudius Centho, who campaigned in this region between 170 and 168 BC, or it may be a Latin reshaping of an Illyrian name. The pilgrim from Bordeaux stopped here, at the mansio of Coladiana.
