Cnoso

Knosós ~ Irákleion

Cnoso is Knossos, near today's Heraklion, the old chief city of Crete. On the map it is a plain station on the road across the island, twenty-three miles from Cortina and sixteen, about twenty-four kilometres, from Cresonesso on the coast. In Roman times it was a colony with the proud name Colonia Iulia Nobilis Cnosos.
