Inata is Inatos, a small town on the south coast of Crete, probably at today's Tsoutsouros, though some placed it at Rizokastron. Ancient writers say a mountain and a river bore the same name, and that Eileithyia was worshipped there under the name Einatia. The town probably belonged to the territory of Priansos. Ptolemy and the Ravenna list know it too, as Einatos and Inita.
