Cocleo
Kütahya
Cocleo is Kotiaeion, now Kütahya in Turkey, and its odd name on the map is a clue: an older Greek form, Kosaeion, was carried over into Latin letters with its A misread as the Greek letter for L, which points to a Greek source at this spot. The town was home to the grammarian Alexander, a teacher of Marcus Aurelius. Around 441 the fallen prefect Cyrus was probably sent here; unlike four of his predecessors he was not lynched by the mob, but won the people over with a very short Christmas sermon. On the map the town is marked only by a fork in the road.
