Road station
Agrillo
? Yarhisar ?
Agrillo is Agrilion, a station on the road from Nicaea to Dorylaeum. The map already sets it in Phrygia, but it really lay south of Nicaea and still belonged to Bithynia. Its site has long been argued over. Recent finds point to a rocky hill by Yarhisar, with traces of fortification walls of rubble and brick in mortar and Roman pottery, on a line where remains of a Roman road and a bridge have been seen. The geographer Ptolemy lists it right after Prusa, now Bursa. The thirty-five miles the map gives on to Dorylaeum are too few, so at least one station seems to have dropped out.
