Road station

Assaria

Ruinen bei Saiyad (Miller) · (near Lmaia) (Barrington)

Assaria was a station on the road from Sabratha to Oea, the modern Tripoli, thirteen Roman miles from Pontos and twenty short of Oea. Ruins near Saiyad have been taken for it, though it is now placed near Lmaia. The Ravenna list writes Passaria and sets it by the sea. Older research suspected that a stop has dropped out of the map nearby, perhaps Vax Villa Repentina, which the Roman register of routes names on this road.
