Road station

Ad Amonem

Mellita (Barrington)

Ad Amonem means 'at Ammon', and the station lay on the coast road of Tripolitania, seventeen Roman miles from Ad Cypsaria Taberna and sixteen from Sabratha. It is placed at Mellita, while older research preferred Kadula Nafti. In the same stretch the Roman register of routes names a stop called Casas, on the estate of the Anicii. The Ravenna list writes Ammonis.
