Road station
Ad speluncas
(mouth of Wadi Hneua) (Barrington)
Ad Speluncas, at the caves, stood at the mouth of the Wadi Hneua in Libya, thirteen Roman miles from Zure. Beyond it the map grows so cramped that the copyist could draw the road line for only three of the following stretches, and the line to the next stop is missing. It is not even clear whether the figure thirteen written here belongs to this station or to the long name just below; either way, one of the two stretches has lost its number. The Ravenna list writes simply Speluncas.
