Ubaza Castellum

Terebaza

Ubaza Castellum, the fort of Ubaza, is today's Terebaza in Numidia, where a ruined fort stands on the right bank of the Oued Boua. It was a military post that watched over the people of the Nememcha mountains, at the start of a side road towards Thelepte. On the map the stretch on to Theveste is drawn as two, apparently just to make room for the long figure LVIIII, fifty-nine, which the copyist did not shorten to LIX.
