Road station
Ad Mercurium
unidentified; west of Theveste (Tebessa), Numidia (Algeria)
Ad Mercurium is one of the map's stations that no one has managed to locate: all that is known is that it lay west of Theveste, today Tébessa in Algeria, on the road towards Vicus Aurelii. The name means at Mercury's, and several other places on the map are so called. The map sets Ad Mercurium nine Roman miles from Ruglata and sixteen from Ad Aquas Caesaris.
