Ad Monilia, at Moneglia on the Ligurian coast, or rather at Bracco up on the road above it, shows copyists at a loss. Space on the map is tight here between Genoa and Luna, with a mountain range and rivers to avoid, so the mapmaker seems to have drawn this stretch of road upright instead of level. Later copyists no longer understood the trick, began the line and then gave up, so the stretch on to the next station has no road line at all.
