Listen to the story
Ad Nonas was a station on the Via Aurelia near Cosa on the coast of southern Tuscany, perhaps by the Lago di Burano, where remains of baths survive, or at Nunziatella. The list of places compiled in Ravenna calls it Ad Novas and places it by the sea. The map sets it only two Roman miles, about three kilometres, from Cosa and three from the river Fiora; these figures are too short, so either a station has dropped out or a number is wrong.
