Road station
Ad lunam
Urspring a.d. Lone
Adlvnam, Ad Lunam, lies at Urspring near Lonsee in Germany, where the little river Lone may have given the station its name; read as Latin, it would simply mean At the Moon. Here the Romans built a fort for a cohort around 80, in two phases, with a village beside it, and the coins found there run until 153 or 154. On the map the station lies twenty-two Roman miles from Clarenna and twenty from Aquileia.
