Turris et Taberna

Matratin?

Turris et Taberna promises two things in its name, a tower and an inn, and the map does not even spell out the word and: a conventional sign stands in for it. Six Roman miles, about nine kilometres, separate it from Tagulis, while the stretch from the unnamed stop before it carries no figure. Some older copies of the map read only Taberna. The site is perhaps Matratin in Libya, and it belongs to late antique times.
