Youks

Listen to the story

Ad Aquas Caesaris, 'at Caesar's waters', was a road station seven Roman miles, about ten kilometres, west of Theveste, now Tébessa in Algeria. It is placed at Youks-les-Bains, where inscriptions of the Roman period have been found. Back along the road, Ad Mercurium lay sixteen miles away.
