Houmt-Adjim (Barrington)

Tipasa is set on the island of Djerba, off Tunisia, as a lone name standing apart from any road. Its site is placed at Houmt Adjim, and the settlement there dates to Roman and late antique times, perhaps even to the Hellenistic period. Visitors will meet the name again, because another place on the map is also called Tipasa.
