Listen to the story
Thabudeos, today's Thouda in southern Numidia, is probably the Tabudium that Pliny lists among African towns, and Procopius later knew it as Dabousis. Bishops of Tabudium are named in 411 and 484, and a Latin inscription has been found. The map counts twenty-four miles from Gemellas; beyond it the road runs on to an unnamed stop, and the stretch to Badias is drawn as two. Copies of the map differ between Thabadeos and Thabodeos.
