Thacora, called Thagura elsewhere, is Taoura in the hills of Algeria not far from the Tunisian border, where inscriptions naming the town have been found, and its bishops are recorded in 411 and 483 AD. The map sets it five Roman miles from Vasidice and five from Gegetu.
