Teucera

Thièvres sur Authie

Tevcera is Teucera, a station on the road from Thérouanne to Amiens, at Thièvres on the river Authie in northern France. Thièvres is still divided into two communes, one in the Pas-de-Calais and one in the Somme, just as the station once lay on the boundary between two Gallic peoples, the Atrebates and the Ambiani. From the modern name it has been suggested that the true ancient form was Tevara, and that the map has garbled it.
