Tericias
near Mouriès
Tericias lay on the Via Aurelia between Saint-Rémy and Aix, a stretch that local people still called the Camin Ourelian, the Aurelian road. The name is damaged: its second letter is partly and its third wholly lost, and older copies preserve it complete. Older research even wondered whether Tericias was a corruption of Aurelias, which would point to Aureille, where there were Roman ruins; others prefer Mouriès or Orgon. On the map the figure onward is squeezed against the edge of the parchment: fifteen, with three more strokes written small above it.
