Tergolape lay on the road from Salzburg to Wels in Upper Austria, probably at Schwanenstadt, though older research placed it near Lambach and others near Vöcklabruck. The map puts it eighteen Roman miles from Laciacis and fourteen from Ovilia, the town of Wels.
