Badias
Badès, near Biskra, Algeria (Numidia)
Listen to the story
Badias, today's Badès in the Ziban oases east of Biskra, lay south of the Aurès mountains; an inscription names a councillor of the municipium of Badias, so it held the rank of a Roman town. The map counts twenty-three miles from an unnamed stop, though the real distance is nearer forty-six, so a station may be missing, and twenty-five on to Ad Medias. The Ravenna list seems to call it Bathmetim.
