Philiscu
(between Paraetonium and Caportis) (Barrington)
Philiscu has partly faded on the map: only the first letter and the ending can still be made out, with about four letters lost between them. The Ravenna list, which writes Filiscin and Filiscum, places it by the sea, and older research linked it with Phoenicus, a harbour town known to Strabo and Ptolemy. It lies twenty-four Roman miles from Paraetonium and twenty-eight from Patrico, though the map draws that second stretch as two.
