Patrico

el-Daba? (Barrington) · j. Ghepheirah (Miller)

Patrico, perhaps at el-Daba on the Egyptian coast, appears as a bare name on the coast road. Twenty-eight Roman miles separate it from Philiscu, and fifteen, about twenty-two kilometres, lead on to Comaru. Between Philiscu and this station lie the gulf of Kanais, with ruins at Ghukah, and the headland of Ras el Kanais, and there the Roman register of routes has a stop called Euthicu, forty miles from Paraetonium. The Ravenna list writes Patricon.
