Pelendova, the Roman Pelendava, was a station on the road from Drobeta across Oltenia to Romula, at Craiova in Romania; older research also looked near Pielești. Roman inscriptions from the area survive. The map sets Pelendova twenty Roman miles from Castra Nova, after a long stage from Amutria.
