Road station
Foroba
Karamağara
Foroba is known only from this map, perhaps a medieval copyist's slip for Soroba, and both its identity and its site are unclear. It stood on the road from Mazaca Caesarea towards Sebasteia, a route that also let travellers avoid the Antitaurus passes, up to 1800 metres high, which blocked the direct way east to Melitene. One suggestion places the station at Karamağara, a crossroads in Seljuk times, and links it with Sibora in the Roman register of routes; but Karamağara lies much too far north-west, which would put the station on the wrong road.
