Curio
~ Episkopi
Curio is Kourion, known to Herodotus, whose ruins lie near Episkopi in Cyprus by the Curias headland, where ships found an anchorage. The Roman road along this stretch is still well preserved, and two milestones have turned up: one at Pissouri, from AD 198, marked fifteen miles, perhaps counted from the town, and another two hours' walk towards Paphos, marked seven. The map counts twenty-two Roman miles from Palephato and sixteen on to Amathus.
