Qal´at el-Husn? (Barrington)

Carion is a late antique station on the branch road towards Raphanis, possibly at Qal'at el-Husn in Syria, the hill where the crusader castle Krak des Chevaliers later rose. The map gives it no picture, just the name. It counts fourteen Roman miles from Demetri, about twenty-one kilometres, and ten more on to Raphanis.
