Iammura

Qalaat Yahmour (Barrington)

Iammura is placed at Qalaat Yahmour in Syria, and the Ravenna list calls it Tamira. Older research compared it with Mariamme, a town that Alexander the Great is said to have added to the territory of Antaradus. The twelve Roman miles from Andarado are written too low on the map and seem to have slipped down onto the road below, the one to Demetri. The start of the next stretch, on to Raphanis, is not marked at all.
