Icidmago is a garbled form of Icciomagus, the field of Iccius, a station on the road from Saint-Paulien towards Lyon, now placed at Usson-en-Forez. The list of places compiled in Ravenna writes it as Icutmageon. Milestones found at Saint-Jean-d'Aubrigoux and Mondouilloux count twelve leagues from the town of the Vellavi. The damaged figure between Saint-Paulien and Icidmago can be read as fourteen or twenty-three, and fourteen fits the ground. Older research also thought that from here on the map counts in Roman miles rather than Gallic leagues.
