Ictodurum
La Bâtie-Vieille
Ictodurum is known only from the map, a halt on the Alpine road between Gap and Chorges. It is placed at La Bâtie-Vieille, a few kilometres from Gap, while older research looked a little further on, near La Bâtie-Neuve on the Vence, about halfway to Chorges. The list of places compiled in Ravenna garbles the name as Idodimus, between the same two towns. The name is Celtic and ends in durum, a fort, like the names of many towns of Gaul.
