Ortosias

Khan ard Artuşi

Ortosias is Orthosia, a town by the sea already named in the First Book of Maccabees, at Khan Ard Artusi in Lebanon, twelve Roman miles from Tripoli. Here a branch road set off towards Raphanis. The map is muddled at this point: the thirty Roman miles on to Andarado are drawn as two stretches, and the figure of twelve on the branch towards Demetri seems to have strayed down from the road above, which otherwise has none.
