Otresa

Otresa is written on the map in capital letters, and it is known otherwise only from the Ravenna list, as Otreas. It was a station on the great road from Nicomedia eastwards towards Amaseia, but the map is badly muddled here: it draws Amasia twice, once far too far west, perhaps confused with the coastal city of Amastris, and Otresa sits on the wrong branch. It probably lay north of Gangra, perhaps near today's Tosya, though no exact site can be fixed.
