Road station
Paccianis Matize
Merdja (Barrington) · am Oned Zhur (Miller)
Paccianis Matize is listed in the Roman register of routes as Paccianis Matidiae, and the second word seems to recall Matidia, a woman of the emperor Trajan's family. The station lay in Numidia, between a stop whose name can no longer be read and Chullu; older research looked for it near the Oued Zhur. It has also been tentatively linked with Tucca, a town that Pliny places on the sea and the river Ampsaga, and whose bishop later fled to Spain from the Arian Vandals. The Ravenna list writes Paceanis.
