Capitoliade

wahrscheinlich Er Raz (die Höhe) oder Bet Raz mit ausgedehnten Ruinen (Miller)

Capitoliade, the city of Capitolias, was a Roman foundation: its coins count their years from AD 97 or 98, which points to the reign of Nerva or Trajan, and they call the city autonomous rather than a colony. Its location has long been debated, but the most likely site is Beit Ras in Jordan, with extensive ruins. In later times it had a bishop, and from here the Roman register of routes shows a link road to Damascus.
