Caput Budelli

(7 miles E Cuicul, same as Castellum Aurelianense Antoninianense?) (Barrington) · Kt. Takuka (Miller

Caput means head, and in Caput Budelli older research saw the source of a stream: it placed the station at Takuka, where a small river rises. The place lay in Numidia on the road from Cuicul, now Djemila, to Milev, and belongs to late antiquity. A modern atlas leaves its site open, but wonders whether it is the same place as the fort called Castellum Aurelianense Antoninianense.
