Road station

Caput Bubali

Cornuţel

Caput Bubali, the head of the wild ox, was the first station on the road from Tibiscum, near Caransebeș, towards the Danube, placed at Cornuțel in the Romanian Banat. Older research noted that a height near Prebul is still called Tilva Bobului, which may echo the old name. The map sets Caput Bubali ten Roman miles from Tibiscum but only three from Azizis, a figure older research thought far too small.
