Tahir

Armanas, a town of Greater Armenia on the road from Satala to Artaxata, is placed at Tahir in eastern Turkey. Older research looked for it at Arin on Lake Van, or east of the Tigris and north-west of Tigranocerta. The map counts twelve Roman miles from Andaga and seventeen on to Chadas, though the start of that second stretch is not marked.
