Arianodum
? Kapıdere Köprüsü · Kapı Deresi?
Arianodum is probably a slip for Ariandum, as the Ravenna list writes it, a name with an old Anatolian ending in nd. It was a place in Cataonia, in Cappadocia, on the road from Comana to Samosata, and may have been named after the Arienei, a people of this region who, as the Roman writer Pliny reports, had died out. Near Kapı Deresi, the gate valley, the remains of an old road with two old bridges survive at the southern entrance of the gorge.
