Appolloniade
Arsuf
Appolloniade is Apollonia, today's Arsuf, a small port on the coast halfway between Ioppe and Caesarea. According to Appian it was founded, or at least named, by Seleucus, and in late antiquity it was probably called Sozusa. The map gives no figure from Ioppe but counts twenty-two Roman miles on to Caesarea, a stretch drawn as two. In the time of the crusaders the town was still fortified, and ruins of that period survive.
