Apasidam

an der Mündung des Natanebi

Apasidam is probably a garbled ad Isidem, at the Isis, a river of the old Colchian coast that is now the Natanebi in Georgia. Arrian found the Isis navigable and noted the strong morning breezes it sent out to sea. The station itself is known only from this map, the Ravenna list and a related list, which go back to a common model. The three miles the map gives on to Nigro are probably a slip for eleven: Arrian counts ninety stades there, about eleven miles, and Nigro itself looks like a miswritten Mogros, the next river.
