On the coast road of Apulia, between Sipontum and the salt works of Salinae, the map marks a second Anxano, not to be confused with the town of the same name further up the Adriatic. It lay on the flat shore below the Gargano, perhaps near Torre di Rivoli. Apart from the map only the list of places compiled in Ravenna knows it, and in one entry a copyist turned it into Dixanum.
