Stabiu

Stabiu is known only from this map and was probably Stabium, with the small stroke over the last letter lost, as so often. It was a station on the road from Ancyra to Tavium, beyond Lassora. One suggestion places it at Çerekli on the Delice river, but the road's course here is uncertain. On the map the stretch on to Tavio crosses the Halys and carries no figure at all. Some older copies read Slabiu.
