Statule

westlich von Goriano Sicoli [3]

Listen to the story

Statule, the station of Statulae, lay at La Statura, west of Goriano Sicoli in the land of the Paeligni, where Roman remains survive. In 1903 a milestone of the usurper Magnentius was found there, counting ninety miles from Rome. On the map Statulae is a dead end, and so is Mons Imeus nearby: the link between them was very probably lost by copyists, together with its distance.
